Byblos Guest House is a small, family-run house in Mastita, Jbeil — on the Mastita road between the town and the coast. Guests keep making the same point in reviews — it is close to everything and still quiet at night.
The rooms are apartment-style with space to unpack, most have a balcony, several look out over the sea, and floors are mopped and towels changed every day. Three generations of the same family have run this house, and it still works the way a Lebanese home does — you are a guest first and a customer second. Coffee gets offered. Directions get drawn on paper. Someone waits up if your flight is late.
45–55 m² — apartment-style, not hotel boxes. Sleeping three to five, with a private bathroom, strong air conditioning, satellite TV and a fridge.
“Close to the highway, but very calm and not noisy at all.” It is the line guests write most often after the space.
Family studios are two connected rooms sleeping five, so children get their own space. Eye Park, a sweet shop and a library are all close by. Baby cots free.
Included in every room and across the house, at no charge.
On site, no charge. An EV fast-charging point sits about 500 m from the door.
Daily housekeeping — floors mopped, towels changed. It scores 9.4, and that is not an accident.
“The room is huge and with a lovely view of the sea.”

“Best value for money place in Byblos.”

The house is run by our family, and Joseph is usually the one at the door. He checks guests in himself, makes the coffee, and tells you which road to avoid at rush hour — which, in this country, is worth more than most of what a hotel can offer.
You do not have to take our word for it. Staff is our highest-scoring category at 9.5, and guests name him unprompted in review after review.
“Joseph was so kind and welcoming. Always offered a cup of coffee.”

Where you are
Byblos — Jbeil — has been lived in more or less continuously for thousands of years: a Phoenician harbour, a Crusader castle, a stone souk and a small working fishing port, all within walking distance of one another. We are up in Mastita, close enough to walk to the beach and a few minutes by car from the old town — and, as guests keep writing, quiet at night.
Old Byblos, seen across the ruins.
Family studios are two connected rooms, so children have their own space and you are not all in one room. There is an amusement park, Eye Park, on the same road, and our family’s centre next door has a sweet shop, a library, a pharmacy and a hairdresser — the things you end up needing on the second morning of a holiday. Baby cots are free.
The old souk and harbour, the Crusader castle and the ruins behind it, a swim at the public beach, and an evening on the port are all a few minutes away. Through the summer the Byblos International Festival brings concerts to the old port and the town fills up around it — if you are coming for a night of it, book early, those dates go first. Ask us what is on while you are here.
Car hire, airport transfers, taxis and day trips — and honest advice about which roads to avoid at rush hour, which is worth more than most of it.
